Shinhwa begins their "Conquest of Asia" with a series of concerts in Japan and China after a one-year break from group activities.

Popular group Shinhwa will be holding large-scale concerts in Japan's Nagoya and Saitama. The concert is titled 2007 Japan Tour ‘SHINHWA FOREVER’, and will be held on 6 Dec in Nagoya and 8 & 9 Dec in Saitama.

With the theme being "Beginning-Birth-Forever-Friendship", Shinhwa will be performing their debut song Hae Gyul Sah amongst other songs, and will be performing The Snowy Night, the main track from the "Winter Story 2007" album (released on 6 Dec), for the first time.

They will also be performing Throw My Fist, whose music video, starring Eric and Kim Dongwan, was a hot topic when the album "Brand New" was released in Japan in August last year.

Many different stages will be presented for the Japan concerts, including a house remix of Hae Gyul Sah, an Oriental remix of Sharing Forever and a remix of Your Man. Last but not least, The Snowy Night will be performed for the very first time. The song is the main track from the "Winter Story 2007" album, and its lyrics and rap are written by Eric himself. In addition, Eric was also the vocal director for the recording of this song.

Shinhwa members said that "We are very happy and emotional that we are finally standing on stage under the name Shinhwa once again. Since we are doing activities as Shinhwa, we will be presenting even better performances at our comeback."

Shinhwa will be holding another large-scale concert in Shanghai on Dec 15 to capture the hearts of the Chinese fans after wrapping up the Japan tour.

Idol group Shinhwa, who will be celebrating their 10th anniversary next year, will move into the Japanese and Chinese markets with an Asian tour simultaneously with the release of the "Winter Story 2007" album.

Shinhwa, who has been receiving the undying support of fans all along, from their debut in 1998 with Hae Gyul Sah to their 8th album Brand New, is now officially the longest-running idol group. With hits such as Eusha Eusha, TOP, Hey Come On, Brand New under their belt, they have also gained massive popularity with their energetic performances.

Shinhwa, who will be celebrating their 10th anniversary next year with their 9th album, will kickstart their Asian tour with a concert in Nagoya on 6 Dec, followed by Saitama on 8 and 9 Dec and in Shanghai on 15 Dec, finally meeting up with their fans after a long absence.

The Asian tour this time is being held again after the Osaka concert on 26 Sep 2006, and tickets have apparently all been snapped up.

A Shinhwa rep said, "They have been busy with solo activities for quite some time now, and have finally come back together for the Asian tour. Although the planning for the commemorative album is already underway, it wouldn't have happened without the love and support of the fans."

For the concert tour this time, Shinhwa expressed their gratitude to their fans before heading to Japan on 4 Dec. "The pre-sales for Shinhwa Winter Story 2007 have hit #1 on the sales chart, and we are really happy. Thank you everyone for your patience and support."

Shinhwa's Eric hopes to be able to make his solo debut in the first half of 2008.

Eric, who has been also been active in acting since 2005 is considering to release an album in the first half of 2008. Although Eric is also very interested in terms of singing and vocals, but the album will be largely belong to the hiphop genre.

Eric's management said on 3 Dec that "Eric is actively participating in discussions regarding the release of his solo album next year. Initially there were plans for the solo debut in 2007, but that was delayed due to Shinhwa's albums and other issues. Eric is working very hard towards the release of the album, but he has yet to confirm any plans completely for now."

His management also said, "Although he has successfully branched out into acting, Eric hasn't forgotten that he is first and foremost a singer. He has always been putting a lot of attention on being a singer and singing no matter when and where. There are also plans for him participate in a drama and on top of that there are also Shinhwa activities. It will be a busy period for him."

After Shin Hyesung, M Lee Minwoo, Junjin, Kim Dongwan who have released solo albums and most recently Andy who has just released his digital single, Eric is the last Shinhwa member to embark on a solo singing career. Junjin, Dongwan and Andy are also planning to release their new albums next year, thus the friendly competition between members is highly anticipated.
